How to Set Up Your Nexus Algo Account: First-Login Checklist
Set up your Nexus Algo account, complete the required profile, verify phone OTP access, recover sign-in, and prepare the cockpit safely.

A Nexus Algo account identifies the person operating a trading desk; it is not a brokerage account and it does not hold trading capital. Account setup creates a Nexus sign-in, records the required profile details, and opens the path to broker connection and cockpit configuration.
The safest first login is deliberately uneventful: confirm the identity, complete the profile gate, connect the intended broker separately, inspect read-only account data, and configure risk before authorizing any trading activity.
Your Nexus account and broker account have different jobs
The Nexus sign-in controls access to the user’s Nexus desk, saved profile, configuration, and platform records. The broker connection is a separate authorization step performed with the broker’s supported credentials or authorization flow.
Nexus is software. Funds and positions remain with the broker, and the user authorizes trading activity. Completing a Nexus profile does not transfer money, connect a broker, start a strategy, or place an order.
Choose the sign-in method that belongs to the same desk
The Nexus login screen exposes Email, Phone OTP, and Continue with Google. The important operational rule is consistency: use the identity already associated with the desk instead of creating a second account when sign-in fails.
- Email: create an account with an email address and password, or enter an existing email account.
- Google: select the intended Google account; the browser can fall back from a blocked popup to a redirect.
- Phone OTP: enter a 10-digit Indian mobile number and then the six-digit SMS code.
- Password recovery: enter the account email first, then choose “Forgot password?” to request a reset link.
First-login procedure from sign-in to the cockpit
- Open the Nexus login screen: Choose Email, Phone OTP, or Continue with Google. If an account already exists, use its established identity instead of creating another one.
- Create or restore the session: For a new email account, switch to account creation and submit the email and password. For an existing account, sign in or use password recovery.
- Wait for the profile check: After authentication, Nexus restores the session and loads the account profile. An incomplete profile is routed to “Complete your profile” before the trading desk is shown.
- Enter the required identity fields: Add the full name and at least one contact method: email or mobile. Email sign-in and Google sign-in normally supply the email as a starting value.
- Enter the required address fields: Provide street or locality, city, state, and a six-digit PIN code. Address line 2 is optional.
- Verify a new mobile number: If the mobile is not already linked to the signed-in identity, request the SMS code and complete the six-digit OTP step. The profile saves only after that verification succeeds.
- Continue to the flight deck: Save the valid profile. Nexus records the completion time and removes the profile gate for the account.
- Treat broker setup as the next workflow: If no broker is connected, continue through the broker connection screen. Verify the broker identity and read-only account data before configuring risk or considering an order.
Which Nexus profile fields are required?
The profile is complete only when the stored values pass the same validation used by the server. A completion screen disappearing is therefore evidence that the profile record passed validation, not evidence that a broker or strategy is ready.
- Full name: at least two characters after spaces are normalized.
- Contact: a valid email or a mobile number in international +91 format.
- Street or locality: at least five characters.
- City: at least two characters.
- State: select one of the available Indian state or union-territory entries.
- PIN code: exactly six digits.
- Optional: address line 2 and a Telegram chat ID for account-specific trade alerts.
How phone OTP access is linked safely
When a user adds or changes a mobile number in the profile, Nexus normalizes the number and asks for SMS verification unless the signed-in identity already has the same mobile. A verified number can then be used through the Phone OTP tab on the login screen.
Nexus also checks whether that number is already linked to a different account. A conflict is rejected instead of silently joining two desks. This protects account boundaries, but it also means an identity-merge problem needs support rather than repeated sign-up attempts.
Safety checklist before the first trading session
Profile completion unlocks navigation; it does not establish trading readiness. Use the first cockpit session to verify state before enabling any workflow that can reach the broker.
- Confirm the displayed Nexus identity is the one intended for this desk.
- Open Settings, then Profile, and recheck the saved contact and address details.
- Connect only the intended broker account and complete its verification flow.
- Compare broker-reported balance, positions, and orders with the broker’s own interface.
- Review Risk & Targets and Execution Safety before enabling a strategy.
- Keep the kill switch, exposure limits, open-position cap, and duplicate-order window appropriate for the account.
- Research and supervise the first lifecycle; do not assume a completed profile or successful login makes a strategy suitable.
Update the profile after onboarding
After the desk opens, the same form remains available under Settings and then Profile. Saving a new mobile can trigger another verification step, while changing ordinary profile details updates the account record without connecting or disconnecting a broker.
Sign out when using a shared device. On the next visit, Nexus restores the authenticated session first, checks the profile again, and then loads the trading state.
Account setup and first-login troubleshooting
- Invalid email or password: recheck the account identity, then use “Forgot password?” instead of creating a duplicate account.
- Weak password during email registration: use at least six characters, as required by the current sign-up flow.
- Phone number rejected: enter a 10-digit Indian number; the profile stores it in +91 international format.
- OTP expired or incorrect: request a new code after confirming the phone number and avoid repeated rapid attempts.
- Mobile already linked: stop and resolve the account ownership conflict; repeated sign-ups can create a second desk rather than repair the first.
- Profile Check Failed: use Retry. Nexus deliberately keeps the cockpit gated when it cannot load the profile.
- Profile will not save: check full name, contact method, street, city, state, and six-digit PIN code; the server rejects incomplete values.
- Signed in but no cockpit appears: complete the profile first, then finish the separate broker connection workflow if the account has no active broker.
Frequently asked questions
Does creating a Nexus account open or fund a broker account?
No. A Nexus account controls access to the software. Funds and positions remain with the broker account that the user separately connects and authorizes.
Can I skip the Nexus profile on first login?
No. The current app gates the trading desk until the required profile fields load successfully and pass validation.
Is a mobile number mandatory?
Not when a valid email is present, but Phone OTP login requires a mobile saved and verified for the same Nexus account.
What should I do immediately after profile completion?
Connect and verify the intended broker, compare read-only broker state, configure risk and execution-safety limits, and supervise the first workflow.
Does successful setup mean Nexus will place profitable trades?
No. Setup only establishes access and configuration. Trading decisions, broker acceptance, market behavior, and risk remain uncertain, and losses are possible.
